Michael Shannon is really the main threat, but if the Revolutionary Road hate brigade continues, he probably won't have much of a shot. Or Dev Patel, anyone?
It's not chock-full of juicy insight, but I think it sort of gets the job done. Maybe someday I'll be a bit more proper and productive and make some official predictions, but for now..this will do?

if you read my most recent post...you will find that i think Benjamin Button WILL win the Oscar for best pic.
but i do agree...dark knight could somehow pull off a win with a nom...it's going to have a ton of nominations, and i'm sure best pic will be one of them.
Benjamin Button certainly has a chance, but I'd take Slumdog over it any day. You may be right though, Button might have enough of a "wow" factor (with the make-up and all) to take the big prize home.
And, yeah, slowly TDK is locking up a Best Pic nom. Yesterday it had the WGA Screenplay nod which is a big step forward and it also got the PGA nom, so things are looking good in that camp.
By the way, I CANNOT wait to see Jai-Ho performed at the Oscars! :P
