The Classic List

I need to see more Hitchcock and Wilder and Bergman and the list keeps on a goin'. So here are a few classics (as in, relatively old, by an iconic director, iconic cast, etc.), I want to see:

Harold and Maude (old enough?)
La Dolce Vita
Planet of the Apes
A Streetcar Named Desire
Dial M For Murder
Rosemary's Baby
Chinatown
Patton
Harvey
Shadow of a Doubt
8 1/2
Dr. Strangelove
The Best Years of Our Lives
Notorious
Mr. Smith Goes to Washington
Strangers on a Train
Barry Lyndon
Rashomon
The Treasure of the Sierra Madre
North By Northwest
Sunset Blvd.
Seven Samurai
THe Fortune Cookie
The Lost Weekend
Marnie
Rebecca
Sleuth
The Best Years of Our Lives

That's all I'll do for now. I hope to get to most of them. Any recommendations (accessible classics), just comment.

Nice list (especially since you included my favorite movie of all times), seen all but three of them.
You'll be a very busy man these days.
As for recommendations I don't know how much Fellini you've seen, but if I was you I'd start with Nights of Cabiria or La Strada and then move on to La Dolce Vita.
To see his style evolve is one of those things of pure beauty.

What's your all-time fav, Jose?

Lemme guess...Chinatown? (I'm killing to see that; screenwriting brilliance apparently)

Hehehehe nope "A Streetcar Named Desire", which I think is a weird choice, but you'll see it and know why I guess.
"Chinatown"'s brilliant as well, don't let anyone spoil the twists for you.
